MISSION La Salle School is a centre of catholic education with a social aim inspired by the Lasallian Educational Tradition that bases its activities on the christian perception of man and of the world, aware of the real needs of the person and of society as a whole, offering its services to all but especially to the poor and those in need. „La Salle Technical School” of Pildesti, which is non-discriminatory and non-profit making, strives on the one hand to offer a professional formation of the highest quality in an area where we believe it is most needed, that is in a rural environment. At the same time, we aim to develop, wholly and harmoniously, the various talents of all our students, with a formation that respects their basic rights and freedom, preparing them to take an active, competent and critical part in their professional, social and cultural life. Our mission is to form men to a life based of human and Christian values, especially those of respect, solidarity, tolerance, honesty and professionalism. VISION We wish that the experience of all those who pass through this centre, especially the boys and girls who attend our classes, is happy and positive, having acquired all that is necessary for their fulfilment and leading them to live with dignity. Our aim is to provide an education of the highest standards. We believe that the formation of a didactic framework is a priority, in which it is worthwhile to invest, for the development and self-renewal of our pedagogical, methodological, didactic and technical standards. We hope to become gradually more economically viable and to find new sources of financing the project. We wish to respond adequately to the educational, human and christian needs of each person who comes to us. We aim to become a christian community in an ecumenic spirit which is a point of reference for spreading the Gospel teaching and a model for growth in faith. Encourages the creation of a climate of participation and team-work, making it possible for everyone to share responsibility and to participate, each according to his ability, for mutual enrichment. 2. Gives fitting importance to intellectual work and serious professional training so that each student fulfills the potential of his/her abilities. 3. Cultivates certain habits with reference to a life in society and the world of work, like self-discipline, respect and punctuality. 4. Develops creativity, originality, a critical spirit and tolerance of differing opinions. 5. Underlines the importance of being honest and sincere, loyal and open, tolerant and ready to dialogue, methodical and hard-working, with high moral standards and irreproachable professionalism. 6. Engages itself in the struggle for the rights and in solidarity against any type of social marginalization, seeking peace amongst men and working for the common good. 7. Promotes the interior life, openness to the Transcendental, trust in the educative and transformative value of the Gospel and the joy of living according to christian values. 8. Gives special attention to those less privileged. 9. Keeps in mind the power of good example, whereby we as educators become models of what we are trying to teach. 10. Supports the formative use of free time, the active participation in sports,the creation and organization of groups and associations and responds to the questions and lack of understanding in religious matters of our students.
